I moved back to Danners and have had the same pair since 2016 (although I have moved to different work). The Alyssa Fisher Trio performs during the 15th annual Spenard Jazz Fest in downtown Anchorage in June 2022. In contrast, I went through 3 pairs of Wolverines in 6 months. They only gave out when I tried to heat-treat them to force them to rapidly absorb silicone and mink-oil waterproofing). Make sure to provide undershirts (Cheapo whites from Costco, Walmart, or equivalent work great).īoots are another matter - I'm partial to Danners - they are extremely tough, have a fantastic warranty, can be re-soled, and will last years of brewery abuse if oiled and treated properly (I wore the same pair daily for 3 years getting bathed in hot caustic, hot water, wort, beer, hops, phosphoric, NiPAc, PAA etc. Make sure there are designs for women and men as we have very different body proportions from one another!ĭickies shirts are tough, but they are also concomitantly hard on nipples. They need to be able to prevent hot water/caustic/acid accumulating in footwear as this is a major hazard in the industry. Good trousers/overalls * that fit OVER boots * will be appreciated as well. Work shirts are great - make sure they're clip-style closures for FSMA audits.
